IBASE Technology Inc. unveils the new panel PC series - ASTUT, comprising all-in-one panel PCs with 18.5” (ASTUT-1811S-PC) or 15” (ASTUT-1511S-PC) LCD display. The new series utilizes the dual-core 1.86GHz IntelR Atom? Processor D2550 in a fanless enclosure that is equipped with a PCI expansion slot to provide high-computing and reliable performance.
The ASTUT series has a projected capacitive touch screen that supports multi-touch and more accuracy than a resistive or surface-capacitive screen. It allows 150 million times single point touch, compared to resistive touch with only one million times. A PCAP touch also has a light transmission rating of up to 90%. This means that it would be easier to read the panel display because only a minimum amount of panel brightness is reduced. The ASTUT series comes with a strong 3mm glass of PCAP touch screen which is extremely durable and vandal proof. Furthermore, the touch screen has an isolation film to protect from accidental short circuit, and extra EMI protection layer to avoid electric noise. Its flat bezel design has an IP65 rating, to make it dust-tight and protected from moisture.
Reliable circuit design
The ASTUT series supports a wide range of 12V~36V DC power input, featuring polarity reversed protection and continuous short and overloading circuit protection. Two isolated RS-232/422/485 selectable serial ports are available to meet various applications and protect your serial devices from burn outs and shorts. The ASTUT series is very suitable for use at high-usage scenario such as in kiosk, ticketing, vending machine applications, or semi-outdoor environments.
