HSINCHU, Taiwan – Realtek Semiconductor Corp., a Taiwanese network and multimedia IC provider, announced that the company will be demonstrating a full range of connectivity, multimedia, and consumer electronics solutions at 2016 CES.
Realtek’s demonstrations included Apple Homekit ecosystem and Google ecosystem solutions, AC1200 router/repeater solution, bluetooth LE applications for smart home and entertainment, 4K smart HDR TV solution, 4K HDR home media center Solution and motion & voice sensor fusion DSP for mobile devices.

Realtek provides a total IoT solution (Ameba (RTL8711A) and iCOM (RTL8871AM) with various hardware resources and open platform architecture. Realtek has collaborated with major companies and successfully engaged with multiple IoT ecosystems.
At 2016 CES, Realtek will demonstrate two key smart home systems: Apple Homekit and Google IoT ecosystem solutions. The former is the solution for Apple HomeKit devices and the latter provides the world’s first Linux-based Google IoT gateway. Via these IoT ecosystems, manufacturers can easily connect their IoT devices and offer smarter and easier-to-use products.
In terms of 4K smart HDR TV solution, the Realtek’s RTD2999 4K Smart HDR TV Solution integrates the latest HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology to deliver wider color range and greater contrast for an enhanced viewing experience.
It provides a multi-core 64-bit ARM CPU and high-performance 3D GPU and supports the Android-5.1 platform and the HEVC/VP9 4K60p 10-bit video decoding standard.
All 4K TV panel interfaces, including VB1, EPI, and mini-LVDS are supported. A comprehensive set of I/O interfaces (HDMI-2.0/HDCP-2.2, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-3.0/USB-2.0, UART, IrDA) allow for highly flexible TV applications.
