Lantiq announced that its DUSLIC-xT voice line solution is now qualified for integration in cable gateways based on the Intel PUMA 6 SoC. Specifically, the DUSLIC-xT driver has been integrated into the Intel Cable Software Development Kit (SDK) and Lantiq’s Telephony Interface Daughter (TID) card reference design has been tested for compatibility with Puma 6 platforms.
Cable gateway suppliers can use the reference design or work directly with Lantiq to integrate the DUSLIC-xT into their system designs based on Intel Puma 6 an IntelR Atom? based, DOCSIS 3.0 compliant SoC which can reach up to 1.2 Gbps downstream by bonding up to 24 DOCSIS channels and up to 240 Mbps upstream by bonding up to 8 DOCSIS return channels.
DUSLIC-xT is a single package CODEC/SLIC that provides all necessary functions for single or dual voice line termination at the customer premise. It is a cost and footprint optimized solution for implementation of the FXS (Foreign Exchange Subscriber) interface required to support analog fixed line phone service.
