TAIPEI, Taiwan — In addressing society's growing demand for sustainable urban development and to solving urban issues, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) has gathered the various industry sectors joining the coming Smart City Summit & Expo to discover new world of Internet of Things (IoT) and to establish a platform for building business-to-business partnership and collaboration, and for generating business opportunities.
Taiwan's best within the ICT industry showcase their technologies and applications at this event to demonstrate the innovation achievable through integration. The 2015 Smart City Summit & Expo includes the following features: exhibition, mayor's summit, forums, the Innovative Applications Award, and the Real Site Demonstration. These five features work together to make this expo the most comprehensive intelligent solution event in the Asia-Pacific region.
TCA's vision is to see the Smart City Expo become Asia's main communication and exchange platform for the promotion of integrated services and solutions. TCA welcomes industry sectors become a part of this global event in forming business partnerships and opportunities, as well as in shaping the future of our smart cities' development.
However, five Taiwanese cities have managed to gain recognition from the Intelligent Community Forum in the last decade, each being entered as one of the Top seven Intelligent Community of the Year. Moreover, the city
of Taipei and Taichung have both been awarded the Intelligent Community of the Year in 2006 and 2013 respectively.
Smart city is not only the business of the ICT industry. Various sectors of our society all share the same interest and involvement in the smart city development. Therefore, TCA has organized and integrated their ideas and products to form the Smart City Expo, to establish a platform for a vision of the future and to infinite opportunities.
Through integrating the various industries TCA seeks to establish the Smart City Expo as Asia's main communication and exchange platform for the promotion of intelligent solutions.
The Smart City Summit & Expo is a four day event being held from 20 January to the 23 January 2015 at the TWTC NANGANG Exhibition Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.
