TAIPEI, Taiwan－ The slow process of DDR4 popularity has a slight advance at COMPUTEX 2014. It seems that DDR4 is not touchable anymore while many memory companies and motherboard companies unveil the related products.
Taiwan-based Transend announced two new 8G DDR4 products─DDR4 2133 REG-DIMM and DDR4 2133 U-DIMM. The former DDR4 supports ECC and mainly aimed at industrial and server application market.
ADATA launched not only DDR4 RDIMM（ECC Registered DIMM）, specially designated for server, on April but ADATA XPG Z1 Memory Module, designed for hard core gamer, during COMPUTEX 2014.
As for motherboard, the global first motherboard supporting DDR4 is MSI X99 that uses Intel X99 Express Chipset and support 8 DIMMs ,Dual Channel DDR4 2666(OC).
