SHANGHAI, China — The first ever International CES Asia, which is the only event in Asia showcasing the global innovation that defines our future and industry. It was opened with an wonderful presentation “Experience Amazing” on May 25 by Kirk B. Skaugen, Intel’s Sr. VP, General Manager of Client Computing Group, saying China is about to surpass the US and become the largest Internet economy that’s why CES Asia is being held in Shanghai.
Kirk B. Skaugen at first introduced various processors from Intel, how they grew smaller in sizes and made waves of the more compact PC, notebook, Tablet, phablet and smartphone.
Furthermore, Kirk B. Skaugen stated that Intel is working on how to make life easier and more convenient, and innovation in experiences. For example, natural user interfaces, no wires and no passoword.
However, the RealSense features facial recognition that allowed PC, Tablet, and smartphones users to unlock their screens without entering the password. On the other hand, RealSense technology, integrate hand/finger tracking, facial analysis, speech recognition, augmented reality, background segmentation, and more into apps.
Meanwhile, the founder of CES, Gary Shapiro gave a brief opening speech by saying “Shanghai is the city of the future. China has phenomenal potential. Everyone from major car companies to wearable device companies is here, and they are excited to be here,”
Apart from the latest in auto technology, exhibitors will represent 14 product categories including 3D printing, green technologies, robotics, smart home, sports and fitness, video/4K Ultra HD, video gaming and wearables.
According to CES Asia, approximately 25,000 people, made up of industry executives, international buyers, media and consumers from China, were pre-registered for the event.
